Tracing PPDB Cheating Persons, Bogor Mayor Assigns Inspectorate To Conduct Investigation

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya specifically assigned the Bogor City Inspectorate to investigate findings of indications of fraud in the acceptance of New Students (PPDB) through the 2023 zoning route involving individuals within the Bogor City Government.

It is known that the Bogor City Government first created a special complaint channel for PPDB 2023 and from there entered various reports to Bima Arya.

Then, Bima Arya together with regional officials and teams carried out field verification, PPDB processes in schools, verification to the Office of the Population and Civil Registry (Disdukcapil) and the Education Office (Disdik) which found indications of fraud getting stronger.

For this reason, he gave the task to the Inspectorate of Bogor City.

"I gave a special task to the inspectorate to investigate who was responsible so that there was a violation of population data," Bima Arya said in his statement, Wednesday, July 12.

Regarding the alleged 'calo' Bima Arya asked the inspectorate to also investigate this.

"So this team also consists of inspectorates, Assistant 1, part of government, Disdukcapil, Disdik and all sub-district heads," he said.

This team, continued Bima Arya, will work according to the set target.

"The results and actions will wait for the results of the inspectorate. So I specifically assign the inspectorate for that," he explained.

Previously, the process of accepting New Student Participants (PPDB) in Bogor City was becoming a polemic after the findings of alleged manipulation of administrative data in the PPDB zoning route.

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya also formed a special team to investigate allegations of fraud in the PPDB zoning route. Starting from using broker services to Family Card manipulation (KK).

Based on this finding, Bima Arya, who is also the Chair of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (Apeksi), admitted that he would report this to Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Minister of Education and Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Makarim.

This was conveyed in order to evaluate the zoning path system in PPDB.

"We are not ready for the system, it is a zoning when the population data system can still be multiplied and also the education infrastructure is not evenly distributed," said Bima Arya.

It is known that the Bogor City Government (Pemkot) has officially postponed the announcement of New Student Admissions (PPDB) at the SMPN level in Bogor City.

The announcement of the PPDB SMPN, which was originally scheduled to take place on Monday, July 10, 2023, was postponed a day on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

This decision itself was made following the many findings of violations of population data used by PPDB participants in the registration for entering the school.

"So the results in the field showed that there were many violations (residential data). There were fake families, KK who were updated but did not match the existing documents," Bima Arya told reporters, Friday, July 7, 2023.

"I decided to form a special team to dismantle and trace, as well as ensure that everything is in accordance with the rules," he continued.

On his personal Instagram account on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, Bogor Mayor Bima Arya also opened a special complaint number if there was fraud in the West Java PPDB process at the high school level which was carried out online, it could be submitted directly accompanied by supporting evidence.

"The number of reports is coming in, so I am collecting data and conducting investigations," wrote Bima Arya.
