PALEMBANG - Investigators from the Palembang District Attorney's Office, South Sumatra, have detained Instagram and Tiktok social media celebrities Lina Luthfiawati or @Linamukherjee_ as suspects in the alleged blasphemy case related to the manufacture of pork-eating content.

The detention was carried out shortly after the Palembang Kejari prosecutor received the transfer of phase II of the suspect and evidence from the investigators of the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the South Sumatra Police.

"Suspect Lina is being held at the Palembang Women's Prison Class II today from July 10 to July 29, 2023," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Palembang Kejari Fandie Hasibuan as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 10.

Fandie stated that the prosecutor's team had studied carefully every element included by the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate in Lina's case file.

As for the case file, the suspect Lina was charged with violating Article 28 paragraph (2), in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (2) of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE).

Meanwhile, the evidence received by the prosecutor's office is in the form of a cell phone used by the suspect to record videos and several social media accounts @Linamukherjee_.

The completeness of the evidence is supported by the statements of several witnesses and several experts, ranging from sociologists, linguists, criminal experts, and IT experts and attached in case files.

"It's P21, so in the near future this case will be transferred to the Palembang District Court, the indictment file is being prepared," he added.

Sebelumnya, Lina dilaporkan karena diduga telah menyasakan agama melalui sebuah konten video yang tersebar luas melalui akun TikTok dan Instagram @Linamukherjee_.

The reporting of this case was carried out by a legal adviser named Sapriadi, on March 15, 2023, to the SPKT of the South Sumatra Regional Police.

In the video that lasts more than 5 minutes, Lina admits that she is an Muslim who deliberately eats pork skin by reciting prayers even though the law is haram.
