President Jokowi Visits Cak Nun At Sardjito DIY Hospital

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo visited culturalist Emha Ainun Nadjib or who is familiarly called Cak Nun at the Central General Hospital (RSUP) Dr Sardjito, Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region, Sunday 9 July.

Reporting from Antara, the president who arrived at Dr Sardjito Hospital at around 10:00 WIB entered through the lobby of the Integrated Heart Center Building accompanied by Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno.

Age to visit Cak Nun for several minutes, the President wearing a white shirt seemed to leave Dr Sardjito Hospital.

"So it is true that today Pak Jokowi visited the Central General Hospital Dr Sardjito in his capacity to visit Mr. MH Ainun Nadjib," said Head of Legal and Public Relations Division of Dr Sardjito Hospital Banu Hermawan.

On that occasion, according to Banu, President Jokowi met Cak Nun Novia Kolopaking's wife and Cak Nun Sabrang's son or familiarly called Noe Letto.

"He (visited) for about 15 minutes," said Banu.

Cak Nun underwent intensive care at the ICU at Dr. Sardjito Hospital since Thursday 6 July, after being unconscious shortly after waking up.

Emha Ainun Nadjib's personal doctor, Eddy Supriyadi, said that the health condition of the writer and intellectual Muslim from Jombang had improved, but he still needed to rest in the hospital.

Meanwhile, former Secretary of Cak Nun, Noor Janis Langga Barana said that although Cak Nun's condition was starting to stabilize, Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta had not allowed Cak Nun to be visited.

"Mbah Nun's'recovery' process continues well. His condition is stable, as well as his awareness is good and stable," said Janis.

According to him, Cak Nun previously still had time to stage with Kiai Kanjeng in Mataraman Village, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, July 2 night until 24.00 WIB.

"Maybe because of exhaustion, because Cak Nun must be physically guarded, Cak Nun is 70 years old. Achievement so that there is a little bleeding in the brain and then taken to the hospital," he said.
