Kejari Medan Set Mujianto Buron Corruption Cases Rp13.4 Billion

The North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office through the Medan District Attorney (Kejari) has named the convict Mujianto alias Anam on the People's Wanted List (DPO) for bad credit corruption cases which caused state losses of Rp. 13.4 billion.

"Yes, after the Medan Kejari came to the address concerned, and the minutes of the convict were signed by the local RT," said Head of the North Sumatra Attorney General's Office, Yos A Tarigan, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 5.

He said the search was to carry out the Supreme Court (MA) cassation decision as generally against convicts issued by DPO last week.

"The person concerned should be able to respect the Supreme Court's cassation decision," he said.

He appealed to the DPOs to surrender to the prosecutor's office because there is no safe place for DPOs.

The Supreme Court canceled Mujianto's acquittal at the Medan District Court level, in addition to being sentenced to nine years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million with a subsidiary of three months in prison.

Mujianto was also sentenced to pay compensation (UP) for state losses of Rp. 13.4 billion with a subsidiary of four years in prison.

Meanwhile, in his indictment, the prosecutor said that Mujianto had binding the land sale and purchase agreement to Canakaya Suman covering an area of 13,680 m2 located in Helvetia Village, Labuhan Deli District, Deli Serdang Regency.

Then, in the process of disbursing credit at the bank, it was not in accordance with the processes and regulations in force in credit approval in banks, as a result, a criminal incident was found which resulted in losses with a total state finances of Rp. 39.5 billion.
