Padang City Government Repairs 15 Drainage Points To Prevent Floods

PADANG - Padang City Government, West Sumatra through the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) has repaired 15 drainage points to prevent flooding in the local city.

Head of the Padang City PUPR Service, Tri Hadiyanto, said that repairing drainage at these 15 points requires a budget of around Rp9.5 billion.

His party continues to carry out maintenance, rehabilitation and infrastructure development in the city of around 900 thousand people.

According to him, this drainage repair is aimed at tackling floods and puddles that occur when it rains in Padang City.

"If we talk about drainage, we carry out routine maintenance and maintenance through operational activities such as the appointment of sediments that we have carried out at all points in the city of Padang," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 5.

He explained that apart from routine maintenance of drainage, rehabilitation is also being carried out so that flood problems can be resolved.

"In addition to routine maintenance, we also carry out rehabilitation and development. In 2023 there will be 15 locations," he continued.

The 15 locations are spread over a number of places starting from RT 02 / RW 01, Ganting Parak Gadang Village, Koto Kaciak, Jalan Alai Barat RT 02 / RW 05, Jalan Air Paku RW 05, RW 09 Pasie Nan Tigo, Jalan Complex Buana III Kuranji.

Then RT 01/RW 18 Ampalu Pegambiran and Simpang Ngalau RT 03/04 Batu Gadang, RT 02 RW 01 Gunung Sarik Village, Sarga Indah Andalas Alley, West Merak Air Tawaran Area.
