BPKP Counts State Losses In Alleged Corruption Of West Sumatra Perusda Capital Participation Funds

SUMBAR - The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) representing West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is calculating state financial losses due to the alleged corruption case of capital investment funds in the West Sumbawa Regional Company (Perusda).

BPKP NTB has stated that there are indications of corruption in the management of government capital participation in Perusda. This was conveyed by BPKP based on the results of the exposure with the prosecutor's investigators.

"So, the results of the joint exposure title yesterday, BPKP stated that there were indications of corruption in Perusda (West Sumatra)," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the West Sumatra District Attorney's Office (Kejari), Herris Priyadi, when contacted, Wednesday, July 5, was confiscated by Antara.

As a follow-up to the results of the exposure, said Herris, the NTB BPKP has prepared an audit team to calculate state losses related to the alleged corruption case in the management of capital investment funds for regional-owned companies.

"As a form of support, the prosecutor's office submitted a number of documents related to the need for auditing state losses. So, we have submitted documents that are important to accelerate the calculation of state losses," he said.

Based on the results of the exposure with BPKP, Herris also assured that his party would conduct an internal exposure to determine the role of the suspects.

"When? Just wait for time. We will hold it first," he said.

Previously, the Head of the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office, Titin Herawati Utara, explained that his party carried out an investigation by referring to the alleged violation of Article 2 paragraph (1) and/or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code jo. Article 64 of the Criminal Code.

The criminal charges are related to allegations of abuse of capital investment in Perusda West Sumbawa for the 2016-2021 period.

By increasing the status of handling to the investigation stage, Titin hopes that his party can immediately reveal the role of the suspect.

During the management of capital participation from the West Sumbawa Regency Government for the 2016-2021 period, the local Perusda was recorded to have received a budget of IDR 7.2 billion, and there was a distribution of profits regulated in the capital participation.

However, in that six-year period, Perusda West Sumbawa was only able to share profits with local governments amounting to Rp386 million, which is far from the rules of the agreement in capital participation.
