13 Narcotics Dealers Arrested In Cirebon In 2 Months, The Mode Some Use Cor Cement

JABAR - Cirebon City Resort Police (Polres) for a period of two months arrested 13 suspects in various types of narcotics trafficking cases.

"In total, we have arrested 13 suspects in narcotics trafficking cases," said Cirebon City Police Chief AKBP Arik Indra Sentanu in Cirebon, West Java (West Java), Wednesday, July 5, confiscated by Antara.

Arik said 13 narcotics dealers were arrested from May to June 2023. They were proven to have circulated a number of types of narcotics, such as methamphetamine, marijuana, and pharmaceutical preparations without permission.

According to him, the suspects were arrested in various places, some in boarding houses, houses, and also on the road when they were about to make transactions of illegal goods.

The suspects arrested, each with the initials SG, WD, DA, SS, and WN, were proven to have circulated narcotics of the type of methamphetamine, while AP, as well as LA, were proven to have circulated marijuana, the rest ML, AM, DD, SR, DM, and KP were dealers for pharmaceutical preparations without a permit.

"We have secured the suspects at the Cirebon City Police Headquarters for the deepening of the case," he said.

For this narcotics dealer mode, continued Arik, it still uses a patch system, where dealers and buyers do not meet directly but only transact via cell phone.

After it was agreed, said Arik, the dealer then put narcotics somewhere. Then photographed and sent to the buyer accompanied by the location where the illicit goods were placed.

Even one of the dealers used cement to trick the authorities at the location where the narcotics were placed. Arik said this is a mode that was recently discovered in Cirebon City.

From the hands of the suspects, a number of evidences were confiscated, such as crystal methamphetamine weighing 73 grams which were ready to be circulated, because it had been broken down to 49 packs, 2.4 grams of marijuana, and 3,000 pills of pharmaceutical preparations without permission.

To account for their actions, the suspected shabu dealers were charged with Article 112 in conjunction with Article 114 in conjunction with Article 127 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 and Article 196 in conjunction with Article 197 of Law Number 36 of 2009 with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

"Meanwhile, the distribution of pharmaceutical preparations without a permit is charged with Article 196 in conjunction with Article 197 of Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health. The maximum penalty is 15 years in prison," he said.
