The New River Turap Development Budget Is Estimated To Be More Than IDR 15 Billion

The budget prepared by the DKI Jakarta Water Resources Service (SDA) for the construction of the New River sheet pile in the Hek area, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, is estimated at more than Rp. 15 billion. "I don't know exactly how much the budget is. As far as I know, the budget of Rp. 15 billion and below is a small project classification. However, the construction of this sheet pile is above Rp. 15 billion due to intermediate and upper classification," said Wawan when met at the East Jakarta SDA Sub-department Office, Cakung, Antara, Wednesday, July 5. Currently, the development of the Kali Baru sheet pile construction is still in the process of auctioning the project at the DKI Jakarta Goods/Services Procurement Service Agency (BPPBJ). "So now the process is at the DKI Jakarta BPPBJ in the auction process. There are several stages of the auction process, maybe being verified or something else and that is already part of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) that is doing it," he said. After the winner of the auction was determined, the construction of the sheet pile was carried out immediately. It is planned that the construction of the new sheet pile will be carried out along the 800 meters part of the left side (umption) of 400 meters and the right side (Jalan Raya Bogor) of 400 meters starting from the Jalan H Jabah bridge to the Jalan Inpres (Bulak Chain) bridge. The work is not carried out by just a calculation by the Natural Resources Service. "However, I received information from the SDA Office that the construction of sheet piles on the residential side of residents will be longer. Maybe it can be seen from the leaks that occurred in residential areas," he said. Wawan estimates that the auction process will be in the plan to build a sheet pile in Kali Baru, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta (Jaktim) because the DKI Jakarta SDA Office wants to find contractors who are competent in the construction of embankments or piles of rivers so that the construction process is not careless. "I am sure that the SDA Office will look for companies that are competent for the construction of sheet piles or companies that understand the construction of dams or reservoirs," he said. The SDA Office does not want the construction of the sheet pile to be carried out carelessly, as long as it is finished and does not last long. He hopes that the construction of the sheet pile at the site of the former irrigation canal can be completed by the end of 2023 to anticipate the overflow of water again considering that it will soon enter the rainy season. "The National Service has information and is still in process, but what is clear will be carried out and it is hoped that before the end of the year it will be carried out and built because it avoids flooding is also ahead of the rainy season," he said. In addition, it is certain that the technical construction of the sheet pile will be made higher than the previous size so that there is no overflow of water from the New River to the roads and residential areas. "There may be an increase in technicality, for sure, I haven't seen the technical details from the service, but there is an increase, anticipation has also been rolled out since yesterday," said Wawan. For the time being, the East Jakarta SDA Sub-Department has provided a leaking sheet pile so that in the event of water sent from Bogor it does not seep and inundate the road. "The cracked sheet pile has been repaired. We also made gabions of the wire filled with stones. This is only temporary while waiting for the sheet pile construction plan," said Wawan.

The East Jakarta SDA Sub-Department cannot do much to overcome the problem of sheet piles in Kali Baru considering that the budget is limited.
