The Trap Of Articles Of Fraud To ITE For The Rihana-Rihani Twin

JAKARTA - The twins Rinhana and Rihani were officially detained after being arrested at the M-Town Residence Gading Serpong Apartment, Tangerang, Banten, today. Both were charged with multiple articles.

"Starting today, he is officially detained," said Director of the Umun Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Hengki Haryadi to reporters, Tuesday, July 4.

In the construction of the case, the Rina-Rihani twins were not only charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code regarding fraud. But both of them are also subject to Article 64 of the Criminal Code regarding continued acts (voortgezette handling).

Rinahan and Rihani were also charged with Article 28 of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE). This is because a series of fraudulent acts were carried out on social media.

"We also apply the ITE Law because it promotes its goods through social media," said Hengki.

Riana and Rihani were arrested at the M-Town Residence Gading Serpong Apartment unit, Tangerang, Banten, this afternoon.

Both of them went viral on social media because they were involved in iPhone fraud with the Pre-Order (PO) mode. The total loss of the victims reached Rp35 billion.
