Jokowi's Response To Menpora Dito Ariotedjo Called By The AGO Regarding BTS Kominfo Corruption

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo to respect all legal processes related to the investigation of the 4G base transceiver station (BTS) corruption case of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) for the period 2020-2022.

"Yes, respect all legal processes, if those who are summoned, both from the KPK, both from the prosecutor's office, respect the legal process," said President Jokowi when delivering a press statement at Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Monday, July 3, which was confiscated by Antara.

President Jokowi asked Menpora Dito to come to fulfill the summons of the AGO to provide an explanation and clarification.

"Come to give an explanation, provide clarification," said the President.

Meanwhile, Dito Ariotedjo arrived at the Jampidsus Round Building, the AGO Complex, Jakarta, Monday, July 3, at 13.00 WIB. He was seen wearing a white shirt and a black jacket.

The Minister of Youth and Sports greeted the media crew before entering the building to give his statement to the Jampidsus Investigators at the Indonesian Attorney General's Office.

Previously, the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, said Dito Ariotedjo was summoned by the Indonesian Attorney General's Office in his capacity as a witness in the investigation of the alleged corruption case in the provision of base transceiver station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for the Ministry of Communication and Information for the 2020-2022 Period.

The examination of Dito, continued Ketut, is the development of the results of the examination report and the defendant's indictment in this case, namely Irwan Hermawan (IH) as Commissioner of PT Solitechmedia Synergy on May 22, 2023.

"He was examined in his capacity as a witness related to the development of several minutes of examination from several witnesses and from the indictment of several witnesses who had been read out related to the suspect or who is now a defendant: IH," said Ketut.
