Meeting In Mina During Hajj, Puan And Anies Pray For Each Other

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani and the presidential candidate (candidate) from the Coalition for Change Anies Baswedan accidentally met in Mina, Saudi Arabia. The two of them are both worshiping the hajj.

"He chatted casually, prayed for each other, especially when he was in Baitullah as a place with prayer to pray," said PDIP DPP chairman Said Abdullah in a written statement, Friday, June 30.

Said, who accompanied Puan and her family, ensured that the meeting was not planned.

"We met with Mas Anies Baswedan and his wife at the Guest House in Mina, Saudi Arabia," he said.

The moment occurred after the two of them finished throwing the jumrah. After the meeting, Said hoped that the political conditions in the country would be cooler.

Moreover, PDIP from the start wanted the atmosphere of the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) to be calmer than the contestation in 2019.

"It's time to set an example to the people that differences in political choices don't necessarily make each other decide on friendship, let alone hostility to each other," he said.

As for the photos circulating, Puan and her husband, Hapsoro Sukmonohadi or Happy Hapsoro took pictures with Anies and his wife, Fery Farhati.
