PURWOKERTO - Banyumas City Police have named one suspect in the murder case of 7 baby father inses with their biological child.

"Last night, we named R (57), a resident of Tanjung Village, South Purwokerto District, as a suspect," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banyumas Police, Kompol Agus Supriadi Siswanto, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 27.

According to him, investigators already have sufficient evidence and evidence to determine R as a suspect in the case.

Suspect R killed and buried the baby resulting from inbreeding or recess with his biological child with the initials E (25) since 2012.

In fact, he continued, the heinous act was carried out by R from the birth of the first baby in 2013 to the seventh baby in 2021.

"Based on the suspect's confession, he killed three more babies and buried in that place, apart from the four baby skeletons we have found in the period from June 15 to 21," he explained.

Agus said the Banyumas Police Satreskrim ranks on Monday (26/6) had combed and excavated the former pool's land, but had not found the three baby skeletons.

Asked about the involvement of the mother of witness victim E, Kasatreskrim said that S, who is R's third wife, is known to have helped with the delivery of her child.

However, at that time S and witness victim E were threatened with death by suspect R.

"We are still investigating, but currently S is a witness," added Agus.

He said suspect R was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code with the threat of death or life imprisonment or for a certain period of up to 20 years.

The case of the murder of an inses baby began with the discovery of objects suspected of being human bones by two workers, namely Slamet (50) and Purwanto (44) on Thursday, June 15, 2023, while clearing the land of a former pond that Prasetyo Utomo had just purchased (42), a resident of Tanjung RT 01 RW 02 Village, South Purwokerto District, Banyumas, about three months ago.

The police who came to the location on Thursday (15/6) afternoon immediately processed the scene and collected the objects suspected of being human bones to be taken to the Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital Purwokerto.

Based on the results of a forensic examination conducted by a team from the Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital together with the Banyumas Police, these findings are known as bones or baby skeletons.

One week later, the police again found three baby skeletons around the location of the first discovery and followed up by securing a woman with the initials E (25) who was allegedly closely linked to the findings.
