Mahfud MD Tinjau Rumoh Geudong Ahead Of Kunker Jokowi

BANDA ACEH - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD accompanied by Acting Governor Aceh Achmad Marzuki inspected the launch location of the Heavy Human Rights Violations Non-Judicial Settlement Recommendation Program (HAM) in Aceh in Rumoh Geudong, Gampong Bili Aron, Pidie.

"Today, the Governor of Aceh accompanied the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs to review the readiness of the Implementation Program for the Implementation of Non-Judicial Settlement Recommendations for Serious Human Rights Violations in Aceh in Gampong Bili Aron," said Aceh Government Spokesperson Muhammad MTA, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 26.

On Tuesday (27/6), President Joko Widodo accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, as well as a number of Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet will visit Gampong Bili Aron in the context of launching the Implementation Program for Recommendation for Non-Judicial Resolution of Serious Human Rights Violations in Aceh.

"We all certainly hope that the President's working visit will run smoothly, as was his previous working visit to Aceh," he said.

This, he continued, would receive a warm welcome from the people of Aceh because President Jokowi often visited Tanah Rencong. Moreover, this working visit felt more special because it was related to fulfilling the rights of victims of past human rights violations.

"We are of course grateful and appreciate the attention of the President to the victims of the conflict," he said.

Muhammad MTA said today there are a series of dirty rehearsals and rehearsals so that these activities run safely and smoothly.

While in Rumoh Geudong, President Jokowi is planned to hold a dialogue via video conference with a number of victims of human rights violations in Talangsari and a number of other locations.

The launch of the Implementation Program for the Recommendation of Non-Judicial Settlement of Human Rights Violations in Aceh is a sign of the start of the fulfillment of the rights of victims of non-judicial gross human rights violations.

"We certainly thank the President for choosing Aceh, especially Rumoh Geudong as the location for the launch of this activity," he said.

Some time ago President Jokowi announced the non-judicial settlement of 12 cases of gross human rights violations in Indonesia. Of the 12 cases, three of them are located in Aceh, namely Rumoh Geudong in Pidie, Simpang KKA in North Aceh, and Jamboe Keupok in South Aceh.
