The TNI-AU Caracal Helicopter Was Deployed To Evacuate Victims Of Aircraft Accidents In Papua Mountains

The YALIMO- Caracal helicopter belonging to the TNI-AU, Saturday was deployed to help the Jayapura Basarnas evacuate PK-SMW victims who had an accident on their way to Poik, Yalimo Regency, Mountains Papua. Silas Air Base Commander Papare Marsma TNI M. Dadan Gunawan to ANTARA, Saturday, June 24, admitted that the Caracal helicopter assistance was at the request of Basarnas Jayapura, who had now joined Wamena, Papua Mountains.Lanud Silas Papare himself has also helped deploy five Paskhas members to join the SAR team in Wamena. "Currently, the evacuation process is being carried out centered in Wamena," said Danlanud Silas Papare Marsma TNI M. Dadan Gunawan. Previously, Kaops Basarnas Jayapura Marinus Ohoirat separately admitted that the location of the unlucky plane was found by a helicopter belonging to PT. Intan Angkasa which flew from Wamena at around 15.30 WIT.

Lokasi pesawat berada di tengah hutan belantara antara Elelim-Poik dan saat ditemukan masih terlihat asap keluar dari pesawat .Helikopter tersebut menemukan lokasi sekitar pukul 16.08 WIT dan secara virtual dilaporkan bagian depan hancur sedangkan bagian belakang sampai ke tengah masih utuh. "Untuk kondisi penumpang belum diketahui, " kata Marinus Ohoirat.Pesawat PK SMW yang dipiloti pilot Capten Hari Permadi dan co pilot Levi Murib dengan membawa empat penumpang mengalami kecelakaan Jumat 23 Juni dalam penerbangan dari Elelim-Poik. Empat penumpang yaitu Bartolonius, Ebeth, Dormina dan Kilimputni.
