Tracing Allegations Of Corruption In XX PON Grant Funds, Attorney General's Office Examines Head Of Dispora And Chairman Of KONI Central Sulawesi

The alleged corruption case of grant funds from the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) from the Provincial Government (Pemrov) of Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) for the 2021 fiscal year continues to be investigated.

The High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has just questioned the General Chairperson of the Central Sulawesi KONI, Muhamad Nizar Rahmatu, and the Head of the Central Sulawesi Youth and Sports Service (Dispora), Irvan Arianto.

"The duration of the examination varies, some are examined for five hours and there are also three hours," said Head of the Central Sulawesi Attorney General's Office Muhammad Ronald in Palu, Wednesday, June 21, which was confiscated by Antara.

Ronald explained that Nizar and Irvan were questioned on Tuesday, June 20. Both were questioned about the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government grant to KONI worth Rp. 9 billion

He said the Central Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office continues to explore this case and does not rule out the possibility of summoning other witnesses. "Then who is being examined, will be informed later," he said.

Ronald said the investigation into the alleged corruption case was based on a report from the Central Sulawesi Anti-Corruption People's Coalition (KRAK).

In the report that was submitted to the Central Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office, it is suspected that there was a corruption in the grant fund of Rp. 9 billion to KONI Central Sulawesi for the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) in 2021.
