Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka confirmed that security guards at the Sheikh Zayed Solo Grand Mosque who received tips from visitors canceled their dismissal.

Gibran said that he had communicated with a third party who provided security services at the Sheikh Zayed Solo Mosque to resolve the issue.

"He is an outsourced employee," he said, quoted by ANTARA Monday, June 19 regarding the handling of the problem of security guards receiving tips from visitors to the mosque.

"The problem is that this is the same as a third party. I have communicated. The management needs to be re-evaluated," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Operations of the Sheikh Zayed Solo Mosque, Munajat, stated that the actions of security guards who received tips from visitors did not include fatal mistakes.

"Because there was no agreement from the start regarding the tip. It was also not the vendor who stopped it," he said, referring to the mosque security service provider.

According to him, the mosque management was asked to mediate in handling the issue of the dismissal of the security guard receiving the tip because it was considered closer to the security officers.

"We and our employees are close, they ask the management for mediation. If there is a mistake, if it is minor, we will fix it," he said.

He stated that the Sheikh Zayed Mosque had recently been established so it was natural that there were things that still needed to be improved in its management.

"Error (error) is natural, the important thing is that there is an intention to correct it. We will mediate between that," he said.

A power transfer worker at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque distributed by PT Arsa last week went on strike to protest the dismissal of a security guard who received a tip from a visitor.
