KPK Examines Former Director General Of Mineral And Coal Regarding Investigation Of Alleged Corruption Of Mining Business Permits

JAKARTA - Former Director General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Ridwan Djamaluddin visited the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today. He will be questioned regarding the alleged corruption being investigated.

Ridwan is currently undergoing a request for information by investigators. He arrived at the KPK building at 08.48 WIB, Monday, June 19.

"We'll just ask them later," said Ridwan before entering the building when asked about the examination.

Meanwhile, the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, explained that this investigation was related to the investigation into the alleged corruption of mining business permits. However, he did not want to elaborate on the process of requesting information because the investigation was closed.

Previously, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri confirmed the investigation into alleged corruption related to mining business permits (IYP) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. This allegation is the second case after the KPK investigated the manipulation of the performance allowance (tukin) that ensnared 10 suspects.

"KPK wants to convey that it has indeed carried out an investigation related to licensing, IUP," Firli told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 15.

He did not elaborate on the investigation. However, Firli ensured that the team continued to look for evidence.

"In time we will convey the results," he said.
