Madiun City Police Handles Alleged Viens Of PPKM Artist TikTok Viens Boys

JAKARTA - The Madiun City Police (Polres), East Java, handled a case of alleged violations of the Enforcement of Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) regulations at the I-Club Café in its jurisdiction that involved TikTokers from Solo, Viens Boys.

Reported by Antara, Tuesday, January 26, Kapolres Madiun Kota AKBP Dewa Putu Eka Darmawan said the police had summoned all parties related to the incident and witnesses. Among them, Viensboys personnel, Viens Boys management, and I-Club management.

"Since yesterday afternoon until today we are still conducting investigations and interrogations. We also investigate whether there is any criminal element in it," said AKBP Dewa in Madiun, Monday night.

From the results of the case title, the police discovered the fact that the Viens Boys in Madiun City were the initiative of one of their management members. Namely, for a food test roadshow or food review. One of them, at the Madiun City I-Club Café. Then, upload it on their social media page.

"We are currently still investigating further how the fans can get together. If there is an invitation, it means there is a criminal element in it," said Dewa.

Apart from collecting witnesses, police officers have also secured a number of pieces of evidence. Among other things, CCTV equipment and the contents of the recordings, information from security officers, management and visitors who were at the scene.

Dewa said that the perpetrator was threatened with sanctions from Article 14 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases or Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine. With a maximum sentence of 1 year in prison.

"However, at this time we are still investigating the examination of witnesses. Determining a suspect requires further case titles," he said.

As is known, the fan meeting of TikTok artists from Solo, Viens Boys, at the Madiun City I-Club Café on Sunday, January 24, drew protests and violated PPKM rules. This is because their activities caused a crowd when Madiun City was obliged to carry out PPKM during the pandemic so that it was finally handled by the local police.
