CIANJUR- Police arrested a number of junior high school students in Cipanas District, Cianjur Regency, West Java, the perpetrators of abuse and bullying against dozens of students from other schools, one of whom suffered lacerations to the leg due to a sharp weapon stab.

Pacet Police Chief AKP Hima Rawalas said five of the perpetrators were arrested after officers got their identities, one of whom was an adult and two other suspected perpetrators were still being chased.

"After a few hours, five perpetrators of the persecution of six private junior high school students in Cianjur, one of whom was an adult, were secured from a number of places in Cipanas District, Saturday (17/6/2023)," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 17.

The Pacet Police Chief explained that he was still investigating the motive for the oppression carried out by a number of junior high school students against dozens of other students who were carried out at the Green Apple Cipanas housing, whose videos were widely circulated on social media.

"In the video circulating, a number of junior high school students became victims of violence and bullying, the victim was told to prostrate while kissing the perpetrator's feet. Several junior high school students were told to record a video to start prostration to other students in front of him," he said.

However, when they were about to kiss the last perpetrator's leg, each victim received an act of violence where the perpetrator kicked the victim's face, head, and body, not where the victim was collected again and received unpleasant treatment.

According to information from a number of victims who were students of SMP Almansyuriah Cianjur, the incident began when they were about to go to the Puncak-Cipanas area, to celebrate graduation using an open truck, while on the way, students were stopped from other schools.

Finding this, most fled because they saw several people carrying sharp weapons, one of whom suffered lacerations from a sharp weapon stab from a student who carried out the ambush.

"My dozens of other students and I managed to escape, even though one of us was stabbed. Meanwhile, six of our friends were surrounded and became victims of torture in the housing complex by students from Cipanas Junior High School," said a junior high school student who was the victim, Ahmad.
