Bareskrim Process PTPN Report On Rizieq Shihab Using Megamendung Land Without Permit

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri has processed the report of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VIII regarding the alleged use of land without a permit with reported Rizieq Shihab.

The land was used by Rizieq as the Islamic Markaz Syariah Agro-Cultural Islamic Boarding School, Megamendung District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

"It has been handled. PTPN VIII has reported it to Bareksrim. Of course Bareskrim will follow up on the report," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, to reporters, Monday, January 25.

"Yes, of course (it has been processed), if there is a report, it is the duty of the Police to accept the report and take further steps to clarify whether there was a criminal act or not," he continued.

But regarding the ongoing investigation process, Rusdi said that no party had yet to be asked for information. The investigator is said to be still studying the reporting file.

"Not yet, it's still a process. Of course investigators are still studying everything," he said.

Previously reported, PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VIII reported Muhammad Rizieq Shihab to Bareskrim Polri regarding the use of land without permission from the Markaz Syariah Agro-Cultural Islamic Boarding School, Megamendung District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

"Reporting on the control of land controlled by parties we have given prior warnings to these parties," said PTPN VIII attorney Ikbar Firdaus Nurahman at the Police Criminal Investigation Office, Jakarta, Saturday, January 23.

Ikbar said that his party reported about 250 people who controlled the land in the pesantren location. One of them, former High Priest of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab.

"In the Megamendung area, all those who build buildings without a permit and are on land belonging to PTPN will be legally reported," said Ikbar.

The police report made by PTPN VIII is registered with the number: LP / B / 0041 / I / 2021 / Bareskrim dated January 22, 2021, with reported being Muhammad Rizieq Shihab as cleric and Gabriele Luigi Antoneli as pastor.

Rizieq and Gabriele reported under Article 107 of Law Number 39 of 2014 concerning Plantation Crimes, Article 69 of Law Number 26 of 2007 concerning Crimes of Spatial Planning, Article 167 of the Criminal Code concerning Entering Yards without Permit, Article 385 of the Criminal Code concerning Land Grabbing Article 480 of the Criminal Code concerning Detention.
