KPK Waits For Minister Of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo's Arrival Today

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) to fulfill the summons today. SYL will be questioned regarding the investigation into alleged corruption at the ministry he leads.

"We hope that the person concerned can attend the KPK's Red and White building," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, June 15.

Syahrul was asked to attend at 09.30 WIB. "The letter we received has been submitted," he said.

"An invitation from the KPK investigation team," continued Ali.

In the circulating message, it was stated that the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo along with two of his subordinates, KSD and HTA were also involved in this alleged corruption. This investigation is said to have been running since January 16.

It was mentioned there that the criminal acts investigated were Article 12E and/or Article 12B concerning Amendments to Law 31 of 1999 and Article 3 of Law Number 8 concerning TPPU in conjunction with Article 56 and 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.

Acting Deputy for Enforcement Asep Guntur confirmed the investigation at the Ministry of Agriculture. However, he did not want to elaborate because this process was carried out behind closed doors, unlike the investigation.
