Recognition Of Djarot, Who Was Ahok's Consultant When Seeking A Second Wife

JAKARTA - Former DKI Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) and former Deputy Governor of DKI Djarot Syaiful Hidayat are not only political friends. After leaving the leadership position of DKI, the two remained close.

While Ahok was jailed for blasphemy, Djarot often visited. The two of them discussed various things, even romance was the subject of conversation.

After his divorce from Veronica Tan in April 2018, Ahok thought about knitting love ties with new people. However, behind the apparent assertiveness, the fact is revealed that Ahok is a layman for women's affairs.

In front of Ahok, Djarot revealed that he was the one who played a role in determining the criteria for a suitable candidate wife for Ahok. Djarot's main suggestion was that Ahok was asked to find a companion candidate who came from East Java.

"I replied to him (Ahok), 'if possible, look for the one from East Java. For example, my wife is from East Java, her character is open, what it is. Second, will stand it if you get angry'," said Djarot imitating conversation with Ahok, Monday, February 17th.

Djarot's story was interspersed with laughter by guests who attended the launch of the book "Call Me BTP" written by Ahok while he was at the Mobile Brigade Command Headquarters.

Djarot continues other suggestions he has provided. He said, a good wife candidate for Ahok did not come from a rich family. Worried, the future wife did not want to be invited to fight together.

"Eh, in the end it became the criterion. Of the many, it was Puput," said Djarot.

Puput, whose full name is Puput Nastiti Devi, first met Ahok in 2016. At that time, his entire family had to be escorted by the police. This was the order of the National Police Chief, General Tito Karnavian, after the imprisonment movement of Ahok 411. Puput was also assigned to escort Ahok's ex-wife, Veronica Tan.

The day after being released from prison, namely January 25, 2019, Ahok decided to marry puput. Until now, Ahok has been blessed with his first child with Puput who was born on January 6, 2020. The baby boy is named Yosafat Abimanyu Purnama.
