The Directorate General of Narcotics Control (GDNC) of Saudi Arabia confiscated 410.000 amphetamine pills hidden in trucks and in drug trafficking nests in Jeddah City.

A spokesman for GDNC Major Marwan Al-Hazimi said eight dealers were arrested, including five Yemeni nationals who violated the border security system, two Syrian nationals, two Sudanese and one Saudi.

The authorities also confiscated a sum of money belonging to the perpetrators, said Al-Hazimi, who added that the perpetrators would be brought to the prosecutor's office as an initial legal step.

The confiscation was carried out as a result of tracking smuggling and drug trafficking networks targeting the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the younger generation in the country, Al-Hazimi said.
