Selling Retail Fuel, 4 Shophouses In Simeulue Aceh Ludes Engulfed In Big Flame

JAKARTA - The Aceh Simeulue Police identification team was also deployed to determine the cause of the fire in 5 housing units in Blang Padang Hamlet, Air Pinang Village, East Simeulue District, Simeulue Regency, Aceh Province.

This fateful incident caused a local resident named Jarisman (35) to become a victim and had to receive intensive care at the hospital.

Kapolres Simeulue Aceh, AKBP Agung Surya Prabowo represented by Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu Muhammad Rizal said the house fire belonging to the victim also grabbed 4 units of shop houses (shophouses).

"As for the victim's condition is seriously injured after being burned," said Rizal as quoted by Antara, Monday, January 25.

The victim, Jarisman, suffered burns on his legs to his waist, including his right hand.

His party suspected that the cause of the fire accident that destroyed four semi-permanent shophouses in this area was due to sparks that caught a number of drums filled with fuel oil (BBM).

"Because one of the shop houses that caught fire had been selling fuel at retail to the public," he said.

"The total loss from this disaster is estimated at Rp1 billion," he stressed.
