The Killer Of A Mamasa Student Whose Body Was Found In Mamuju Was Arrested By The Police

The Mamuju Police Team, West Sulawesi, arrested the killer of a high school student from Mamasa Regency, whose body was found in a river in the Mamuju Regency Artery Street area.

"In less than 24 hours, we managed to arrest the perpetrator of the murder of a student with the initials HN (17) from Mamasa Regency whose body was found in a river in the Arterial Street area," said Mamuju Police Chief Kombes Iskandar as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 13.

The perpetrator of the murder with the initials HS was arrested on a ship while fleeing to East Kalimantan.

"The perpetrator was arrested at Semayang Port, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan while fleeing after killing the victim," said Iskandar.

In addition to arresting HS, the police also confiscated the pickup car used by the perpetrators to dispose of the victim's body in the river in the area of Jalan Arteri Mamuju Regency.

It was stated that the motive for the murder was allegedly due to the perpetrator being upset when he was about to repatriate the victim, but the high school student in Mamasa Regency refused.

"The perpetrator is suspected of having a close relationship with the victim and together with Mamuju. However, when he was about to be sent home, the victim refused and then an argument broke out until the murder occurred. From the autopsy results, it was found that there were wounds on the victim's neck and lips," explained Iskandar.

However, the police, said Iskandar, will still investigate the motive for the murder of the high school student from Mamasa.

Likewise, regarding the alleged sexual violence, the police stated that they were still investigating.

"So the article that is applied is article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning Murder. However, it is still temporary because it will continue to be investigated," said Iskandar.

Previously, on Monday (12/6) at around 12.30 WITA, residents of Mamuju Regency were shocked by the discovery of a woman's body floating in a river in the Arterial Street area.

The body of the woman who was later identified with the initials HN previously left her house on Sunday (11/6) with HS using a pickup.

Until finally, on Monday afternoon (12/6) at around 12.30 WITA, HN's body was found in a river in the Jalan Arterial area of Mamuju Regency.
