Police Hunt For Robbers On Bengkulu Cross Road

REJANG LEBONG - Rejang Lebong Police, Bengkulu, is currently still pursuing several perpetrators of motor vehicle robbery (begal) who acted on Jalan Lintas Bengkulu-South Sumatra.

"Currently, the Rejang Lebong Police are investigating the position of the suspect or perpetrator, where is his whereabouts," said Head of Public Rejang Lebong Police, Iptu Sinar Simanjuntak, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.

Currently, the police are still making security efforts on the connecting roads of the two provinces by increasing patrols at a number of points prone to cases of robbery.

Previously, several cases of motor vehicle robbery on Jalan Lintas Curup-Lubuklinggau, precisely in the Binduriang District area and several other points in the past week were caught on camera by residents and went viral after being uploaded via social media.

The Bengkulu Police Chief Inspector General Armed Wijaya has ordered his staff to arrest and take action against robbers who often act on the Curup-Lubuklinggau Cross Road and other locations that have disturbed the public.
