JAKARTA - The Regent of Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region, Sri Purnomo, underwent independent isolation at the official residence after being exposed to COVID-19 on Monday, January 21.

His health will continue to be monitored by a specialist in internal medicine from the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Sleman.

The head of the Sleman Regency Health Office, Joko Hastaryo, said that self-isolation was carried out for 14 days. The next treatment will be communicated to the team, whether to do a swab or to continue isolation.

"Whether or not we want the evaluation swab or not, we will first communicate it to the doctor in charge of services (DPJP) of the Sleman Regent from the Sleman Regional Hospital," he said as quoted by Antara, Monday, January 25.

During his isolation period, Sri Purnomo was observed to continue doing sports activities. This is for the sake of maintaining his health and fitness.

"In the morning I routinely do sports activities like walking and light exercise to keep the body healthy and increase immunity. The difference this time I have to be alone at the official residence because I am positive for COVID-19," said Sri Purnomo.

In the video shared through several of his social media accounts, Sri Purnomo mentioned another activity, namely feeding tilapia in front of the pavilion of the Sleman Regent's Official Home.

Sri Purnomo carried out independent isolation at the Regent's Office, because based on the results of the antigen swab carried out Wednesday, January 20, 2021, he tested positive for COVID-19 and repeated with the PCR test the results were also positive.

On January 21st, a Thorax CT Scan was performed at the hospital which revealed good results and clean lungs. And the condition is currently in good condition and there are no symptoms, and only undergoing independent isolation at the official house.

During his independent isolation, the Sleman Regent still carries out government duties and services to the community continue to run online from the Regent's Office.
