Hundreds Of Companies Still In Arrears Of Employee THR, DKI Provincial Government Gives Lunar Time Before Applying Sanctions To Revoke Business Permits

Head of the DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) Hari Nugroho said that there are still hundreds of companies that have not paid or paid off holiday allowances (THR) this year to their employees.

Hundreds of these companies were reported since mid-April period ahead of Eid al-Fitr, until the beginning of June. In total, there are 340 late complaints or non-fit THR payments.

"Of the 340 complaints, we have followed up on everything. We have made recommendations, we mediate, and yes, there are still around 200 in the process," Hari told reporters, Friday, June 9.

In taking action against THR complaints, Disnakertansgi came to the company and asked for an abolition of the cause of the delay in payment or THR payments not in accordance with the provisions.

"On average they say that the problem is that they have been affected by COVID (affected by the pandemic). Their business has not started to run smoothly. Then secondly, because they are no longer in production," said Hari.

From there, the Disnakertansgi mediator team will mediate with employers and employees to find solutions to this problem. If an agreement appears, the DKI Provincial Government will give the company a deadline of several months to follow up.

"After mediation, we give 4 to 5 months to pay. If we mediate, we can't immediately send it to our supervisors. This time's supervision, if he can't, then we will give sanctions," said Hari.

Then, if the specified deadline ends but the company has not been able to pay off employee THR, the DKI Provincial Government will impose administrative sanctions. "There are various sanctions. It can be the revocation of the company's identification number, the suspension of permits," he added.
