JAKARTA - The investigation into alleged ethical violations by the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri is believed to be entering a new chapter next week. The KPK Supervisory Board confirmed that the report from the former KPK Director of Investigation Endar Priantoro will be completed soon.

"Hopefully it can be finished next week," said KPK Supervisory Board member Syamsuddin Haris to reporters, Saturday, June 3.

Syamsuddin did not specify which report. However, Endar reported two alleged ethical violations to the Supervisory Board that Firli allegedly committed last April.

First, he reported Firli for allegedly violating ethics after dismissing himself as Director of KPK Investigations. Next, Endar also reported that his former anti-corruption commission officer leaked the investigation documents.

Not only reporting to the KPK Supervisory Board, Endar also reported Firli with the Secretary General of the KPK Cahya H. Harefa and the Head of the KPK HR Bureau to the Ombudsman for alleged maladministration. This report is still in progress, but the KPK does not want to be present for clarification.

In fact, the KPK is said to have questioned the authority of the Ombudsman. The KPK was considered uncooperative.

"Instead of getting answers and coming to the Ombudsman, on May 22, we received a letter which contained no clarification on the questions we submitted, but related to a number of things that made us at the Ombudsman this shocking," said RI Ombudsman Member Robert Na Endi Jaweng at the Ombudsman Office. RI, South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 30.

Related to this, the KPK then spoke up. Secretary General of the KPK Cahya H. Harefa said requests for clarification could not be made because Endar's report was not included in the public sphere such as the authority of the Ombudsman.

"The entire recruitment process, career development and full-fledge of an employee's duties are part of the HR management in an organization," said Cahya in a written statement, Tuesday, May 30.
