Bengkulu City KPU Finds 7 DPRD Balloons With Double Data In Candidates

BENGKULU - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bengkulu City said, based on the results of administrative verification, it was found that seven candidates for the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) for double data in the nomination. "For the temporary results of administrative verification, it was found that there were seven names of candidates for the Bengkulu City DPRD," said Bengkulu City KPU member Deby Harianto in Bengkulu City, Antara, Friday, June 2. The seven names of the DPRD dual data balloons consist of five external double names of parties whose names are in two different political parties in the electoral district in Bengkulu City. Then two names of candidates for other Bengkulu City DPRD members were detected double internally by political parties or in the same political party. However, there are different representative institutions and electoral regions, namely for district/city DPRD institutions in the Bengkulu City electoral district and in the Central Bengkulu electoral district as well as one name in the Bengkulu City electoral district and the Ogan Komering Ulu electoral district, South Sumatra. "Currently, the administrative verification process for the administrative requirements for prospective candidates is still ongoing and the Bengkulu City KPU will ensure with the relevant political parties to obtain confirmation of the candidacy for the candidate whose name is detected as double," he said. This is because, in accordance with the provisions of the requirements that each candidate's name can only be submitted to a nomination at one representative institution, one electoral district and one political party. Previously, there would be 602 candidates for the Bengkulu City DPRD who would be verified consisting of the 35 National Awakening Party (PKB), the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) 35 people. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) 35 people, the Golkar Party 35 people, the Nasdem Party 35 people, the Labor Party 22 people, the Indonesian People's Wave Party (Gelora) 35 people. Then the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) 35 people, the Archipelago Awakening Party (PKN) 35 people, the People's Conscience Party (Hanura) 35 people, the Indonesian Change Guard Party (Garuda) 23 people. Furthermore, the National Mandate Party (PAN) 35 people, the Crescent Star Party (PBB) 35 people, the Democratic Party 35 people, the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) 35 people, the Indonesian Unity Party (Perindo) 32 people, the United Development Party (PPP) 35 people and the Ummat Party 35 people.

Terang dia, KPU Kota Bengkulu akan melaksanakan verifikasi dokumen persyaratan bakal calon yang dilakukan pada 15 Mei hingga 23 Juli 2023. Saat verifikasi dilakukan dan nantinya dokumen yang kurang maka calon anggota dapat memperbaiki dokumen persyaratan pada 26 Juni hingga 9 Juli 2023.
