JAKARTA - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have again found traces of the assets of former Directorate General of Taxes, Rafael Alun Trisambodo. The KPK will soon confiscate the assets.

"In addition to what was confiscated yesterday, the investigative team has also found indications of other assets that we will immediately confiscate," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri when confirmed in Jakarta, Friday, June 2, as reported by Antara.

Ali said the confiscation of the assets was part of an investigation into the alleged crime of money laundering (TPPU) against Rafael.

However, Ali has not provided a leak about the type of asset being targeted by anti-corruption agency investigators.

Confirmed separately, Acting Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK Asep Guntur revealed that the amount of the alleged money laundering value by Rafael was close to Rp. 100 billion.

"About Rp. 100 billion, that's a total with a property asset value," Asep said when confirmed, Friday, June 2.

Asep also confirmed that there were other assets that were allegedly Rafael's which were being investigated by KPK investigators.

The KPK has again confiscated assets allegedly belonging to Rafael Alun Trisambodo in the form of a giant motorbike (moge) Triumph 1200cc in Yogyakarta, as well as a Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota Camry in Solo City.

KPK investigators also confiscated three units of Rafael's house, namely a house unit in Simprug, a boarding house in Blok M and a rented house in Meruya.

Ali said the KPK investigating team would continue to search assets related to corruption cases suspected of receiving gratuities and money laundering (TPPU) for the suspect Rafael Alun Trisambodo.

"KPK is still following the money and identifying assets related to this case to optimize asset recovery from the results of corruption," he said.
