Thudong Hero Holds Puja Bakti And Pradaksina At Borobudur Temple

The monks who carry out the ritual perform puja bakti, meditation, andpradaksinaadi the main stupa of Borobudur Temple in Magelang Regency, Central Java Province.

They entered the Borobudur Temple complex through the Kalpataru Gate. The manager of the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park welcomed them with a bouquet of flowers that tasted the night.

The monks then walked through the main clan, then climbed from the east side of the stairs to the main stupa on the top floor of Borobudur Temple and performed worship.

Before going to Borobudur Temple, they met with Magelang Regent Zaenal Arifin at the Magelang Regent's Office House.

From there, they walked to Mendut Temple, Pawon Temple, and finally to Borobudur Temple.

Director of PT Taman Wisata Borobudur Temple, Prambanan, and Ratu BokoFebrina Intan said that Borobudur Temple was the last place visited by monks who came from Thailand on foot.

"We welcome here to direct monks to worship according to what is run by Buddhists," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 1.

"In welcoming there was no ceremonial ceremony, we were in front of the gate and gave a series of flowers at night to every monk who was present, then the monks walked to the temple to perform worship," he continued.

Febrina said that the arrival of monks who traveled from Thailand to Borobudur Temple was an extraordinary momentum.

"This is something that is encouraging for us and hopefully we can continue to maintain spiritual stories, togetherness, diversity and sustainability together and when we hear this story, people always remember Borobudur," he said.

The manager of Borobudur Temple seeks to provide the best service for Buddhists.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia Dony Oskaria said that the extraordinary reception from the community to monks who carry out tahudong rituals shows tolerance among religious believers in Indonesia

"How the extraordinary welcome from people from various religions shows diversity and we want us to show the world that Indonesia is very tolerant of each other," he said.

He also hopes that more Buddhists will visit Borobudur Temple to carry out religious activities.
