Police Name Police Shooting Suspect In Dekai Papua

JAYAPURA - Joint investigators from the Cartenz Peaceful Law Enforcement Task Force and Yahukimo Police have named EH or AS as suspects in the shooting case that killed members of the Yahukimo Police in November 2022.

Reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 19, Head of the Cartenz Peaceful Public Relations Task Force Kombes Donny Chales Go said the US or EH (25 years old) who is the treasurer of Peneki village.

EH was arrested along with 22 other people at the house suspected of being the KKB headquarters in Dekai, Monday (16/5).

From the results of the examination of 22 people who were arrested, including three village heads, it was revealed that one of them was related to the shootout case that occurred in 2022.

"Currently, 21 people have been sent home while EH alias AS is still being held for further legal proceedings," said Donny.

Kombes Donny, who also serves as Dirpolair Polda West Sulawesi, explained that during a shootout with KKB in November 2022, three members of the National Police were injured, one of whom died, namely Bripda Gilang Aji Prasetya due to gunshot wounds to the face.

Two other members who were injured, namely Brigadier Fazuarsyah, were hit by gunfire on the left back and Bripda Dona Bagaskara was hit by a rebound of bullets.
