JAKARTA - All volunteer organs that previously supported President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the previous presidential election are now ready to give full support to Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election.
The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) is also working with the current active volunteer organization Jokowi to ensure Ganjar's victory.
In a press conference at the PDIP Presidential Election Winning Volunteer Coordination Team (TKRP) Secretariat, TKRP Secretary Deddy Sitorus said that nearly 90 percent of Jokowi's volunteers would certainly support Ganjar.
"I make sure 90 percent of Jokowi volunteers support Ganjar," said Deddy, Friday, May 12.
TKRP has been working for 15 days since it was formed on April 27, 2023 and is currently collecting data on groups of people interested in participating in democratic parties.
The latest data as of May 11, 2023 at 17.00 WIB noted that 457 volunteer organs had been verified out of a total of 1,000 registrants.
"The data is still outside the data on hundreds of volunteer organs supporting President Joko Widodo who will transform to support Ganjar Pranowo," he added.
Deddy also explained that not all of Jokowi's volunteer organs in the 2019 presidential election or the 2014 presidential election are still active today.

The TKRP Secretariat Office is located on Jalan Diponegoro No. 72, Central Jakarta, and registration of volunteers will continue to open until October 28, 2023. Of the more than 1,000 registrants, PDIP will conduct selection and verification to ensure that the volunteer already has an organization or management.
The chairman of the TKRP, Ahmad Basara, emphasized that Ganjar volunteers who were successfully verified would join the national winning team or the Ganjar national campaign team along with other parties.
"If the national campaign team for presidential and vice-presidential candidates has been formed, it will merge," said Basarah.
