JAKARTA - An elderly person named Agus Nezam (69) was found dead tragically on the edge of a railroad in the Jatinegara Station, East Jakarta on Friday, May 12.

"Most likely this body was grazed by the train, so when we arrived the condition of the deceased was dead," said Andi, one of the eyewitnesses to the incident at the scene, Friday, May 12.

Allegedly, the victim died after being hit by a commuter line train that passed from Jatinegara Station to Bekasi.

"According to security, he was grazed by a train at crossing 1 from Jakarta to Bekasi," he said.

Police officers from the national sector who arrived at the location where a man was found dead immediately identified the victim. The victim is known as a resident of Palmeriam, Matraman, East Jakarta.

"He died when he was hit by a KRL. The age of the victim was around 69 years old, a resident of Palmeriam, Matraman," he said.

The victim's body was then put in a body bag and taken to the Jakarta RSCM using an ambulance.
