Close To Ulama, What Is Listyo Sigit's Answer When The Government Is Accused Of Often Criminalizing Ulama

JAKARTA - In addition to his brilliant achievements in the police institution, Candidate for Chief of Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, is also known for his closeness to ulama.

During the fit and proper test with Commission III of the DPR RI, Wednesday, January 20, Komjen Listyo Sigit revealed one of the strategies to block the development of terrorism in the country.

When asked about his closeness to the ulama and accusations against the current government for criminalizing ulama, what was Komjen Listyo Sigit's answer?

"I think the language of criminalization in the future we hope there will be no more," he said after undergoing a fit and proper test.

The three-star general who is currently the head of the Criminal Investigation Unit added that if there is a law enforcement process by members of the Police, it cannot be called criminalization. Including the criminalization of scholars.

"If there is a law enforcement process, what we will do is not because of criminalization, but because there is a criminal act that has occurred," said Listyo Sigit.
