BPK Still Cannot Release Results Of Jiwasraya And Asabri's Investigations

JAKARTA - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) has not been able to reveal the findings in the development of the investigation of the cases of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) and PT Asabri (Persero). The state-owned accounting firm explained that the two cases were still in the process of examining and collecting data.

Secretary General of BPK Bahtiar Arif said that a complete report on the findings of his party would be submitted to the public if all data and stages of the examination had been completed.

"Yes, waiting for friends who check in the field. It's not finished. So just wait," he said, when met at the BPK office, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta, Friday, February 14.

Bahtiar asks all parties to be patient. This is because all data are still in the process of being analyzed, obtained and so on. So that information about this case cannot be disclosed.

"Information, maybe friends know more, but for the examiner it is still in the data collecting and analysis stages. So it cannot be conveyed," he said.

When asked which party would be examined, Bahtiar also did not answer in detail. He only emphasized that all related parties will be processed by the BPK, including the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as the financial services supervisor.

"The institutions involved in each case must be examined if it is related. Later, everything will be related to Jiwasraya and Asabri. Later, it will be delivered when the examination is over," he said.

Audit Completed by End of February

Head of BPK's Public Relations Bureau, Selvia Vivi Devianti, said the audit of the PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) and PT Asabri cases was still ongoing. However, his party revealed that the examination of state losses would be completed until the end of February.

"Our Jiwasrya and Asabri are in process. The deadline is at the end of February for state losses," he said.

Selviana said that the audit of the case involving the state-owned company was investigative in nature. His party has not been able to report various findings because it is still in the examination stage.
