KPU Receives Registration Of 580 NasDem Candidates

The General Elections Commission (KPU) officially received a registration file of 580 prospective legislative candidates for the DPR in the 2024 election from the NasDem Party.

The file was received directly by KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari from the Coordinating Chairman of the Election Winning Board (Bapilu) of the Nasdem Party DPP Prananda Surya Paloh.

"On Thursday, May 11, 2023, the central leadership of the NasDem Party was present to submit or register the prospective DPR RI candidate," said Hasyim before receiving the registration file for the DPR candidate from the NasDem Party as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 11.

In the stage of submitting the file, said Hasyim, after an examination by the KPU technical team, the complete status of the registration files for prospective legislative candidates for the DPR from the NasDemleh KPU Party will be notified.

Previously, on the same occasion, Prananda said that NasDem had prepared a complete document for the registration requirements for the DPR candidate.

"We have prepared 100 percent equipment (registration for the DPR candidate) without any shortcomings and what is noted is quite encouraging, approximately 33 percent of the women's quota is fulfilled," he said.

Prananda also expressed his appreciation for the performance of all KPU ranks so far in preparing and implementing a number of stages of the 2024 General Election.

As of Thursday, since the registration of the DPR candidates was opened on Monday (1/5), there are four political parties that have registered candidates for the DPR, namely the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Hanura Party, PDI Perjuangan (PDIP), and NasDem.

Registration for the DPR candidate at the KPU office will still take place until Sunday (14/5) at 23.59 WIB. The KPU has appealed to all political parties at the national level who are participants in the 2024 General Election to submit a notification letter no later than one day before registration is carried out.
