KPK Searches For Masterminds For Mass Movement At Lukas Enembe's House, Will Be Charged With Investigation Opportunities

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the crowd who had acted at the house of the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe before being arrested was an attempt to obstruct the investigation. The investigation into alleged bribery and gratification has been hampered due to their actions.

"(The movement of the masses, ed) if (it is mentioned, red) hinders yes, because we can't move freely there, yes," Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Monitoring of the KPK Asep Guntur told reporters, Tuesday, May 9.

However, Asep did not want to talk much about the mass movement. The party that moved it is still being sought.

"Who is the actor behind it that we are still investigating," said Asep.

Previously, the KPK detained one of Lukas Enembe's attorneys, Stefanus Roy Rening, regarding the alleged obstruction to the investigation of bribery, gratification, and money laundering (TPPU) cases. He is suspected of influencing witnesses to build false opinions regarding the work of the KPK.

In addition, Roy asked other people who were witnesses in the Lukas Enembe case to give testimonials that were not true. The goal is that the KPK gets a negative opinion so that the investigation into the alleged corruption that is running cannot be carried out.

The witness was asked to convey false news at the church in Papua. So, the congregation there was finally provoked.

Not only that, Stefanus also advised other witnesses not to hand over money as a return on the alleged corruption results that were being resolved. The challenge of this investigation has been carried out since the KPK named Lukas Enembe as a suspect.
