Many Thugs In Front Of Cipinang Mall, 6 Student Cellphones Confiscated On The Side Of The Road

JAKARTA - Another street crime occurred in front of a Cipinang Indah mall, Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta. The incident was also caught on CCTV cameras at the scene.

Based on CCTV footage, it was seen that a number of teenagers ran towards the mall security to ask for help. They became victims of bullying by a group of thugs around the location.

Then one of the perpetrators continued to chase the victims. The perpetrator accused the victim of committing burglary against another friend of the perpetrator. Then the perpetrators confiscated 6 cell phones belonging to 6 teenagers.

As a result of the incident, 2 victims reported the incident to the Duren Sawit Police Headquarters. The victim hopes that the police will immediately arrest the perpetrators because they have been troubling.

"So the report has been received, 2 reporters at the Polsek," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Leo Simarmata to reporters, Tuesday, May 9.

Kombes Leo said the incident began when the victims and perpetrators met on the street. Then after getting acquainted, the victims were invited to somewhere to collect cellphones.

"The victim, who was riding two people, then ran to the beautiful Cipinang mall, asked the security guard for help. Then the security guard said not to make a fuss here, finally the victim was directed to the police station," he said.

The victim then reported to the Duren Sawit Police. Currently, the perpetrators are being chased by the police.

"The perpetrator is being chased. The security guard has been examined, questioned," he said.
