TURKEY - The Ukrainian delegation punched a Russian delegation in the face at a meeting of the Black Sea countries in Ankara, Turkey.

The incident began with the Ukrainian flag which was seized by the Russian delegation for the time of taking the interview video.

Olesandr Marikovski posted a video of himself hitting the Russian delegation and taking the blue and yellow flag on his Facebook page. The incident took place in the aisle of the parliament building, where a meeting of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) was held.

Earlier that day, several Ukrainian delegates clashed with security officers who tried to withdraw them as they protested, shouted and held their flag beside Russia's main delegation as he tried to address the assembly.

The images of the tension were posted by Turkish parliament on its website, and Mustafa Sentop, chairman of parliament, issued a stern rebuke.

"I condemn the behavior that disturbs the peaceful environment that Turkey is trying to build," he said.

While representatives from 13 countries in BSEC met on Thursday, Russian drones continued to attack the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

There is currently no peace talk of ending the war, which has devastated Ukrainian cities, killing thousands of people and expelling millions of people from their homes.
