PHDI Bali Indigenous Village Assembly Releases Distribution No Ogoh-ogoh March Of Silent Day Network

DENPASAR - Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia, Bali Province and the Traditional Village Council issued a joint circular regarding the implementation of the Holy Day of Silence in the Saka Year 1943. One of the contents was to eliminate the ogoh-ogoh parade.

"Obtaining ogoh-ogoh is not a mandatory series of Nyepi Holy Day. Therefore, commanding ogoh-ogoh on the Silent Day of Saka Year 1943 was abolished," said Bali PHDI Chairman Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Sudiana in his circular in Denpasar, Bali, quoted by Antara , Tuesday, January 19.

First, limiting the number of participants who take part in the procession to a maximum of 50 people. Second, the Pamangku (religious leaders) should use the clean "panyiratan" for nyiratang (sprinkling) tirta to the krama (people), and giving bija with clean equipment.

Third, it is prohibited to use / sound firecrackers / firecrackers and the like. Fourth, people who are sick or feel unwell, not to participate in a series of ceremonies.

Fifth, in order to avoid the various potential spread of COVID-19, all committees and participants must follow the health protocols for prevention and control of COVID-19 in the New Era of Life.
