The massive ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla's meritorious procession was held at the British Royal airbase, ensuring that the upcoming weekend event would take place without a hitch.

In the parade of the largest military personnel since the funeral of PM Winston Churchill, more than 7,000 ceremonial soldiers took part in their training at RAF Odiham Base, Hampshire on weekends.

The airfield was mapped using a speed gauge to ensure the proper distance of the procession route, from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.

Tens of neat sailors, soldiers and pilots stretched across bases, a combination of military personnel from 34 Commonwealth countries and six foreign regions.

"Unifying everything for the first time here, in fact, there is little joy," said Royal Navy Chief First Admiral Sir Ben Key, quoted by The National News May 2.

"For us, having the opportunity and the privilege to play a small role in theappropriation of Your Majesty and the Queen's Unity in less than a week is a mixture of encouraging anticipation, perhaps a little nervousness and great pride," he said.

"The late Queen (Elizabeth II, ed), as is the king at this time, is a big supporter of the armed forces and what we are doing, and we see this being continued in him," he continued.

"We have enormous trust in King Charles as our supreme commander, and this is a great opportunity for us to show our loyalty to him, I am sure his mother will see with great pride on that day," said First Admiral Sir Ben Key.

"I can't wait to join my family who hopes to be in the midst of a crowd of people in London to enjoy the atmosphere.

"There's no doubt I'm going to take off my uniform and put on an undercover outfit to join because it's an incredible national celebration."

With shouts of "treatment, processions", exercises began with each troop stepping their left foot accompanied by a drum bass rhythm.

Commonwealth troops lead the parade contingent. Meanwhile, Household Cavalry is behind.

Officials are very creative in marking the route, with a pair of rugby poles resembling Buckingham Palace, and a set of cones that replace Admiralty Arch at the entrance of The Mall.

This allows troops to disperse and form formations like they will do on D day, while a brown minibus replaces the royal dating train.

Meanwhile, equestrians lined up on foot to avoid "foreign debris" such as horse shoes or dirt left on the runway, which could endanger planes that would take off from the base.

However, there was one animal invited to participate in this parade, namely an Irish wolf dog named Seamus, the Irish Guard mascot and the only dog to participate in this march.
