Mardiono: If PAN And Golkar Agree On Ganjar Pranowo For The 2024 Presidential Candidate, That's KIB Plus

JAKARTA - Acting (Plt.) Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) conveyed that his party invited the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB), namely the National Mandate Party (PAN) and the Golkar Party to participate in carrying Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate (candidate) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

However, if PAN and Golkar carry different names for the presidential candidate, Mardiono said KIB would remain solid because the coalition was a combination of political parties with the same ideas and ideas to build Indonesia.

"We have the task of each political party, including me as the General Chair of the United Development Party, inviting KIB to work together with the same choice as PPP," said Mardiono during a press conference after a meeting between PDIP leaders and PPP at the PDIP DPP Office, Jakarta as quoted by Antara, Sunday.

He added that if PAN and Golkar ultimately also carry Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate, then KIB can become KIBPlus

"But, when it's different, it's a political necessity. Our country is a democratic country. We have the right to make choices. So, it doesn't limit that space, and Alhamdulillah, the results of our meeting with KIB, we remain solid, friendly, harmonious. When the choices are different, yes, everything is different for Indonesia," said Plt. Chairman of PPP.

In the same press conference session, Mardiono explained that each member of the United Indonesia Coalition, namely PPP, PAN and the Golkar Party, did not interfere with each other's attitudes and choices regarding the presidential and presidential candidates.

KIB was founded a year ago in the context of cooperation in building ideas and ideas. He emphasized that this attitude was stated in the agreement of the three parties when forming KIB.

"It is in the charter of the coalition agreement between the three parties," he said.

The PPP leadership has also submitted the results of his party's national leadership meeting (rapimnas) which brought Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate to two KIB members.

We have submitted the results to KIB a few days ago. And everyone understands that," said Mardiono.

So far, PAN and Golkar have not officially announced the names carried as presidential candidates.
