Via Tanjung Priok Port 2,092 Participants Of The Free Homecoming Program Arrive In Jakarta

JAKARTA - A total of 2,092 participants of the free homecoming program organized by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) arrived back in Jakarta via Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, Saturday, April 29 using the Dobonsolo Motor Ship (KM). Their arrival from Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang, Central Java, was greeted directly by the Head of the Tanjung Priok Main Port Authority Office, Subagiyo and the Head of Tanjung Priok Main Harbor, Captain Weku F Karuntu. "Alhamdulillah, the ship arrived safely at Tanjung Priok Port. This program has received quite high enthusiasm from the community and in the future it can be continued," said Subagiyo at Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, Saturday. The ship that departed from Tanjung Emas Port Semarang on Friday, April 28, at 15.45 WIB, it also carried as many as 847 passengers' motorbikes.

According to Subagiyo, through the free homecoming program, people can travel back and back to Jakarta for free, smoothly, and comfortably, even reducing the risk of accidents on trips. One of the free homecoming participants named Ina, from Pati, Central Java, admitted that he was happy with the free homecoming program of the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation. He hopes that the program can be held continuously every year. "Alhamdulillah, this free homecoming program helps us who want to return to their hometowns more safely and save costs," he said, quoted by Antara. He told the facilities offered by the Ministry of Transportation during the trip are quite complete. They even get food during the trip. "The facilities offered are quite complete and get food as well during the trip. I hope that next year (the program) will still exist," said Ina.
