NTT Police Prepare 1,660 ASEAN Summit Security Personnel, Focus On Hospitality And Humanity

KUPANG - East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Johanis Asadoma asked his personnel to always act humanely and friendlyly to the community in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, during the 2023 ASEAN Summit escort. The two-star commander also said that in securing the ASEAN Summit, the position of the Police is only as a BKO and is in ring three, because Ring I is the task of Paspampres and Ring 2 is the TNI. Therefore, I ask the personnel guarding the 3 ring to keep it so that if there is a problem not to reach ring 2, he said. The NTT Police together with the ranks of the Resort Police themselves prepared 1,660 personnel who would later begin to shift troops on Sunday 30 April using the Ferry ship from Bolok Kupang Port to Labuan Bajo.

Personel yang dipilih, kata dia, juga harus siap menghadapi berbagai hal yang bisa saja mengganggu penyelenggaraan KTT ASEAN yang pelaksanaannya tinggal menghitung hari saja.Menurutnya gelar pasukan yang dilakukan oleh Polda NTT itu juga bertujuan untuk mengecek segala kelengkapan, baik personel maupun kelengkapan pendukung lainnya untuk memperlancar jalannya pelaksanaan KTT ASEAN.Dalam kesempatan tersebut juga Kapolda bersama sejumlah pejabat utama Polda NTT mengecek langsung kendaraan yang disiapkan untuk diberangkatkan ke Labuan Bajo.Sejumlah kendaraan itu seperti kendaraan-kendaraan taktis. Selanjutnya Kapolda juga memeriksa kesiapan personel Polda saat pelaksanaan simulasi pengamanan tamu VVIP dan pasukan antihuru hara.
