Arriving In Labuan Bajo, Deputy Chief Of Police Checks Security Of ASEAN 2023 Summit Vital Objects

Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Pol Gatot Eddy Pramono, made his visit to Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, NTT, to check security readiness ahead of the ASEAN Summit in May 2023.

"The Deputy Chief of Police's visit to Labuan Bajo to check all security in Labuan Bajo ahead of the ASEAN Summit," said Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police, Kombes Pol Ariasandy in Kupang, Thursday, April 27, as reported by Antara.

He said that during the visit the Deputy Chief of Police carried out a series of activities including security readiness meetings, checking the readiness of a number of vital objects starting from Komodo Airport, and a number of hotels which would later be occupied by delegates from each country who attended the ASEAN Summit on May 9 to 11, 2023.

In addition, the Deputy Chief of Police checks the readiness of other objects, such as the 'Command Center' and the lodging place for members of the National Police in securing the ASEAN Summit

"The Deputy Chief of Police hopes that the NTT Police will further tighten security so that the activities of the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo run safely and smoothly," he said.

The Deputy Chief of Police to Labuan Bajo used a special Fokker 27 MK50 / P-4401 aircraft. When he arrived, the Deputy Chief of Police was greeted directly by the NTT Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Johanis Asadoma and the Main Officials of the NTT Police and the West Manggarai Police Chief.

NTT Police Chief Inspector General Johanis Asadoma said there were around 1,660 joint personnel from the NTT Regional Police and the police ranks who were assigned to maintain security in Labuan Bajo.

A number of these personnel will depart from Kupang on Sunday 30 April and are expected to arrive on May 2, 2023.
