Thabo Bester's Action, The Most Cruel Rapists In South Africa Who Burned Prisons And Faked Deaths Through Other People's Bodies

JAKARTA - The father of a man whose body was used by Thabo Bester to escape from prison demands to know how his son died. Thabo Bester is a notorious South African rapist. He escaped by burning prisons and FORging his death. The body in the prison, which Bester initially believed to have been identified as Katlego Bereng's. His father, Batho Mpholo, demanded the truth of his son's death. The death of Katlego Bereng stems from information received by his father that his son had fainted in the city of Bloemfontein and later died in hospital, before he was taken to the morgue. "How can Thabo Bester get my son's body if he is in the government's morgue?" he asked in an interview with the news channel ENCA, quoted in a BBC report, Sunday, April 23. When the body found in the cell was re-examined in March this year following suspicions from local media, it was discovered that the person had died from blunt trauma to the head. Mpholo said he did not trust a police report about what happened to his 31-year-old son when he disappeared in April 2022. South African police declined to comment on Mpholo's statement. Mpholo said his relatives went to Bloemfontein's morgue to look for him and there was no sign of him - and there was no news until his mother was asked to do a DNA test last week. Mpholo described his son as a fan of fun football, leaving behind a four-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son. "I was devastated. My heart was shattered into pieces," he told the News24 website. Bereng's mother, Monica Matsie, burst into tears when interviewed by national broadcaster SABC. During confusion over the fire at the Mangaung Penitentiary in Bloemfontein, Bester managed to escape from prison dressed as a guards. The news of the escape caused widespread shock and anger in South Africa, where local media dubbed him a Facebook rapist. Bester used the site to lure women with promises of work before raping them. He has served a life sentence after being found guilty in 2012 for the rape and murder of his model girlfriend, Nomfundo Tyhulu. The previous year, he was found guilty of raping and robbing two other women. After his escape, Bester managed to survive undetected for a year before he was arrested earlier this month in Tanzania and later deported to South Africa, alongside his girlfriend, celebrity doctor Nandipha Magudumana. Magudumana, his father and two employees of the British security firm G4S who managed the prison have been arrested for allegedly helping him escape. They have not commented on the allegations
