Monas Reopens After 3 Times Eid Is Closed, Visitors Are Directly Crowded

JAKARTA - Visitors who came to the National Monument Area (Monas) in Central Jakarta on the second day of Lebaran on Sunday, April 23, were observed to be crowded.

As of 10.00 WIB, there were 6,600 visitors entering the tourist attraction.

Daily Supervisor in the Monas Area, Nursamin said, today the Monas Area is reopened for visitors. On the first day of Eid, Saturday (22/4), the Monas Area was closed to the public.

Today is the first Monas Area to reopen after Eid. On Lebaran three consecutive years previously closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"So you can imagine the interest of the visitors," said Nurhamin, as reported by Antara, Sunday, April 23.

The number of visitors usually increases over time. "Moreover, considering today is the first time the Monas Area has opened again for visitors," he said.

In addition to residents who want to enjoy the atmosphere of Lebaran with their families, there are also visitors to the Monas area on the second day of Lebaran who are foreign tourists.

Some visitors walked around the Monas area, some were sitting under the trees while enjoying the food and drinks they brought.
