JAKARTA - Governor of West Java (Jabar) M Ridwan Kamil said goodbye to the community, during the momentum of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah, which is the last celebration or the last time for Ridwan Kamil as Governor of West Java. Ridwan Kamil and Uu Ruzhanul Ulum (Deputy Governor of West Java) will end his term of office on September 5, 2023. "I and Pak Uu said goodbye, this may be the last Eid al-Fitr together. Ridwan Kamil and Uu Ruzhanul Ulum were inaugurated as Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java on September 5, 2018. The term of office of the Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java is regulated in Government Regulation Number 10 of 2021 concerning the Election of Governors and Deputy Governors, Regents and Deputy Regents, as well as Mayors and Deputy Mayors.

Article 20 paragraph (3) stipulates that the term of office of the Governor and Deputy Governor is five years and ends on September 5 in the same year as the year of the election.
